Questionnaires help. They do not make the diagnosis.
Screening and rating scales can structure information, but the clinical decision comes from the broader assessment: history, impairment, evidence across settings where relevant, differential considerations and professional judgement.
Complex cases
Where the information suggests significant diagnostic uncertainty or complexity, the case should receive the additional specialist review appropriate to the presentation rather than being pushed through a routine pathway.
