Adult ADHD Assessment

A structured, specialist-led assessment designed to understand your history, day-to-day functioning, strengths, challenges and whether the evidence supports an ADHD diagnosis.

What the assessment looks at

An ADHD assessment is more than a screening score. We consider your developmental history, current symptoms, functional impact across relevant settings, mental-health history, possible coexisting conditions and supporting information where appropriate.

Before the assessment

You will complete an intake and triage process so we can confirm that our pathway is appropriate and identify any clinical complexity that should receive additional review.

During the assessment

The consultation explores attention, impulsivity, restlessness, organisation, time management, executive functioning and the impact of these experiences on daily life. It also considers alternative or additional explanations rather than assuming ADHD from the outset.

Afterwards

The outcome is subject to the appropriate specialist clinical review. Where a diagnosis is made, you will receive clear feedback and a written report. With appropriate consent, relevant correspondence can also be prepared for your GP.

Assessment-only launch: My Neuro Health does not currently prescribe ADHD medication. Where clinically appropriate, independent onward treatment or support options may be discussed.

What if ADHD is not diagnosed?

You should still leave with an explanation of the evidence considered and, where appropriate, recommendations about other needs or possible next steps. The purpose of assessment is understanding, not simply reaching a particular label.
